Check-in and Check-out Procedures

  • Check-in is after 4pm and check-out is by 10am.
  • Must be at least 25 years old to reserve. This person is required to be the person signing the agreement and must be one of the persons staying in the property for the reserved dates.

Property Access

  • Paved roads provide easy access to the parking for Still Lake Haven.
  • There are 16 steps to enter the top level condo with privacy and mountain views.

Policies and Rules

  • No smoking allowed.
  • Minimum age: 25 years.
  • Children allowed.
  • No events allowed.
  • No parties or gatherings above the posted occupancy allowed at any time. Keep outside noise respectable.
  • Pets are not permitted in Echota Resort. This home is not pet friendly. Do not bring pets into this home.
  • Do not leave food or trash outside as it could attract animals. All trash must be bagged and placed in the trash receptacle indicated in the Welcome Book inside the house or your digital guidebook.
  • 4WD/AWD and/or chains recommended during winter (Nov–March). Travelers visiting during the winter months where inclement weather may be possible should come prepared with an AWD or 4WD vehicle. Chains may also be required if it snows. No refunds, allowances, or date changes will be given to travelers who are not prepared with the proper vehicle, as outlined in the Rental Agreement.

Fees and Payments

  • All Echota homes have an additional amenity fee of $15/day, capped at $70 total for your stay. If you are staying more than 5 nights, please reach out to us so that we can manually override this fee.
  • Cancellation Policy: Bookings canceled 60+ days before arrival will receive a refund of the deposit. Bookings canceled between 31–59 days before arrival will receive a refund of half of the deposit. Bookings canceled within 30 days of arrival are not entitled to a refund unless the reservation dates are rebooked to another guest. All bookings are subject to a $50 cancellation fee.

Parking Information

  • Free parking is available. Paved roads provide easy access to the parking for Still Lake Haven.

Utilities and Amenities Access

  • Guests have access to both Echota Resort clubhouses.
  • Access privileges to Echota amenities: indoor and outdoor swimming pools (please reference Echota map; one pool is restricted and designated for Echota homeowners), Watauga River trout fishing, stocked fishing pond, clubhouse fitness centers, hiking and biking trails, bocce ball, and outdoor sports recreation area.
  • Note: Many photos on this web listing reflect Echota amenities which are available for guest use but are not physically located at the lodge.
  • All BRMR homes offer well-stocked kitchens with utensils needed to cook meals. There is a starter set of paper products: a roll of toilet paper per bath, several garbage bags, a small vial of dishwashing liquid, a few tablets of dishwasher detergent, some laundry pods, a roll of paper towels, hand soap, shampoo, conditioner, body wash, and some makeup remover cloths. These items are provided for one to two nights.
  • Towels and bed linens are provided. Hair dryers are not provided.
  • High-speed internet, dishwasher, toaster, clothes washing machine, clothes dryer, oven, stove, climate control, free parking, smoke alarm, and carbon monoxide detector are available in the property.
